Helpful Advice For Those In The Field Of Internet Marketing

In this digital age, it is crucial for businesses to have a presence in the digital world to be successful. Customers spend hours everyday on the internet on their computers, phones, and tablets. To reach these people, it is vital for all businesses, large and small, to employ internet marketing. Follow the tips in this article to create and improve your internet marketing.

Do not put too many banners on your site. A site full of banners is not attractive, and will be repulsive for visitors to your site. You probably will not get hits on the banners, as there are too many, and will look crowded and cluttered. Add only a few relative banners to your site.

Purchase advertising space from other newsletters and sites that are relevant to the niche of your products. Make sure before doing so that the target audience is one you want to reach by finding out who their subscribers are and how they acquired them. If you fail to find this out you could be wasting money on people who will never purchase your product.

To succeed at internet marketing, purchase an internet marketing education program that will help you to meet your internet marketing goals. While it is recommended to stay away from the extremely expensive programs, some of the more reasonably priced programs will still teach you some of the key skills and insights for internet marketing.

As an internet marketer, you must have a 404 error reporting system for all of your websites. One example is to set up a system where every time a visitor receives this error, a real time e-mail notification is sent to you. Such a system should allow you to immediately identify where the errors are and fix them. 404 errors not only have a negative impact on your web visitors’ experience but can also reduce your revenue from advertising and sales.

Get your credits when they are due! Some websites don’t consider all the sales you may help bring them from mediums other than online. Make sure you find a company that is willing to pay you for all the revenue you bring to them, regardless of the method used.

Every once in a while you should post highlights from the last quarter so that people can be aware of your progress. Customers like to know that your business is doing well and sharing certain information with them will make them feel like they can trust you and they will be proud to be a part of whatever it is you are doing.

If you are thinking of starting an internet marketing site, then there are five general questions you will want to answer. Who are you targeting? What are your website objectives? What do your visitors expect to get from your site? What do you prefer your visitors to leave with when they are done? Why should these visitors come back?

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, the importance of internet marketing in this digital age cannot be overstated. Regardless of the size of your business, your customers use the internet and utilizing internet marketing is an ideal way to reach them. Follow the marketing tips mentioned here, to successfully grow and market your business.

A Digital World Has Come

A Digital World Has Come

The Internet has been around for sometime but its popularity started a little more than five years ago as more people gains access to public domain. As more Americans engage in online activities such as gaming, surfing, communicating with relatives and friends, and stock brokering, new companies are created. Now you have companies offering web design, web development, website hosting and SEO services. Aside from this, our age is growing up to careers like graphic design and web designers, types of work, which were inconceivable a decade ago.
Now you may be asking: What sort of work do these new companies engage in? Web development is the general term used to refer to all the activities I mentioned about. Any activity related to the creation of a website can be categorized under this term. Some professionals, however, insists that web development refers more to the technical side such as coding and networking.
Webdesign services are involved with the layout of a website. The web design is the first thing people notice when they visit a page. It is also one of the major factors considered by repeat visitors. There are four aspects of design: the content (basically this is the information on the site), the usability (the functions and features of the website), the appearance (should be enticing to readers0 and lastly, the visibility (people must be able to find your site!). The main goal of a good website designer is to make information readily available to his readers in a form that is very easy to understand.
SEO services are basically a marketing strategy used by sites to get more traffic, or in laymen’s terms, to get people to visit their sites. Say for example a person goes to Google and types in SEO, they should be able to find sites relating to search engine optimization and the those sites at the top of the list has the highest page rank, meaning, these are the sites which is visited most often. There are other websites which are not indexed or listed in Google, MSN or Yahoo. This means that unless you know the website’s name, no one will get to visit that site. To make your site popular, you need to build links to your site, and this is what companies engaged in SEO does.
Now, let’s talk about something less technical. Did you know that more people are spending more time with the internet than watching TV, reading the papers and listening to the radio? For one, you can do all these three things while sitting in front of your laptop. Now you no longer need a Tivo or a subscription to the local paper because now, you can get anything from the web for free! You can now do your shopping online; you can even gamble or take out loans from the internet. Aside from this, work is no longer confined to the office. When you need to beat a deadline, the internet gives best solution – bring your work home and let your VPN put you right back to work!
Surely, we are entering a new world – one where everything has its virtual counterpart. From teachers to bankers, friends and dates, everything we need is now online. But how has this affected our society today? In a study of 4,000 respondents, it was reported that internet usage was averaging at 2-5 hours a week while those in the extremes spend more than 10 hours in front of their computers. This has caused the 15% decline in social activities and another 25% who are spending lesser hours in talking to their friends or their families. Truly, this world has become a digital world of conveniences, and a world where people are losing contact with their social environment.

Internet marketing can introduce your business and the products that you offer to the world. There is no other advertising medium that works quite as well as internet marketing. This article can help you to harness the power of the internet and bring it into your hands and to your business.

Always be considerate of your audience. Read your website content or latest newsletter, and ask yourself if you would enjoy reading it and learn something from it’s content. Your goal should be to provide useful discussion, which people want to have in their inbox or bookmarked so they can read more later.

If you’re creating a network marketing business online, buy your own domain name! Shared hosting will make you look cheap and unprofessional, and you will NOT be taken seriously unless you have a domain of your own. Make it short and easy to remember, and don’t forget to include important keywords from your website in it for good SEO.

Visual language is a powerful tool for recruiting people to a network marketing program. Good recruiters use phrases and imagery that encourage potential recruits to visualize themselves as successful members of the program. By encouraging recruits to imagine themselves already in the program, canny recruiters can subconsciously nudge them closer to signing on.

Utilize network marketing forums when you are ready to learn a lot of information about marketing fast. These forums are free to use, and have some of the best information sharing you could possibly want. Learn from others experiences, and exchange advertising with people you meet on the boards.

Some potential recruits for your network marketing program may have doubts about the ethical stance (or even legality!) of the program. Be prepared for these concerns; develop honest and persuasive arguments to demonstrate that your program is on the up-and-up. An effective argument on this point can not only allay fears but also be a strong recruiting tool in itself.

Use an auto-responder unless you have nothing else in life going on, don’t sleep or every leave your computer, auto-responders are a must have tool as part of your online marketing. Setting up an email auto-responder means that your customer/prospect will immediately receive a response from your company assuring him/her their email was received and they will be hearing from you soon

Use seminars to network with people and establish good business relationships. Seminars can be conducted in person or more conveniently these days through a digital connection. Attend as many of these meetings of the minds as you can and make a good first impression. You may be talking to future customers, affiliates or otherwise, beneficial people, who will fit nicely into your network marketing strategy.

As previously expressed, internet marketing can introduce your business to the world at large and bring your products to your customers wherever they are. No other type of advertising can work like the internet. This article hopes to help you understand the great potential of the internet and marketing on the world wide web.

While studying the achievements of super affiliates that earn handsome money every month, we find that their attitude is fine tuned to get optimum results from their attempts. Apart from the attitude everything is the same. They sell the same products that everyone else sells, they sign up for the same advertising program and employ the same SEO tactics. What makes them different is their willingness to experiment more, think creatively and showing of better understanding of human nature.

1. Dare to Lead

Don’t just be a follower; you can set new standards in affiliate marketing. This statement does not mean you should learn the nice good qualities of successful Internet affiliate marketers. You can take new ideas from the success of successful Internet marketers. But you can think differently and creatively. Creativity is the first thing every successful affiliate marketer possesses. You can creatively design your website, plan a promotional campaign and generally play your cards correct. Set standards and be a leader, let others follow.

2. Learn the Basics

Learn the basics of closing a sale. Learn from the innumerable websites in the Internet that sell products and services. Be a constant learner of marketing. This way you will know what sells and what does not. Goal setting, planning and implementing of the plans correctly make you a successful Internet marketer. Set daily, weekly and monthly targets, then lay down the plan and follow up with the implementation of the plans.

3. Set Priorities

Everything you plan to do to promote your new affiliate product may or may not be necessary or fruitful. Separate the tasks as immediately essential, moderately lesser and unessential. Cutting down on unessential tasks saves your efforts and gives you more energy to concentrate on highly essential tasks.

4. Learn the art of Giving Before Receiving

You can’t bind horse before the cart. To receive something you need to give something. Here what you give before you take is information, tips and strategies to maximize the use of products you sell. For example if you sell photography items, provide in your website useful information about the care of different photographic products and continuously update the information with whatever you learn. Thus you learn to give before you receive.

5. Network

Network with fellow affiliate marketers. Help someone if needed. Don’t shy away asking help if needed. Affiliate marketing is not a ‘I Win, You Lose game’. Everyone can benefit from combined strengths.

6. Widen your Horizon

Don’t put all your eggs in the same basket. Diversify your efforts. This advice is not a license to dilute your focus. If you are the affiliate of a company that sells digital camera, you will have a good idea about digital cameras, its components etc. Instead of setting your focus solely on digital camera for a specific company, become an affiliate of different companies that sell digital cameras. Also sell digital camera components like memory sticks, batteries, flash units … You simply give yourself more exposure to a variety of opportunities.

7. Never Quit

Last but not least. This one tip you need to bind to your heart. Early setbacks and losses are only natural. In such occasions, heartlessly dump the products or services that bring you low or no returns. Cut down costs. But never ever give up your career. You can find profitable products to sell that will give you profits. If you really want to become a successful affiliate marketer, you must see such setbacks as essential natural learning points.

As a writer with a background in public relations and marketing, I’ve always wanted to focus my energies on one particular client and make them a great success.
In 2004 & 2005, I got my wish. Elaine VonCannon, a REMAX Capital REALTOR in Williamsburg, Virginia, had attempted to enter the real estate profession and thrive in a market where the ‘old guard’ has a stronghold. Sidhe Communications internet marketing tactics helped launch her career as a REALTOR. And her sales and marketing skills helped turned the leads Sidhe Communications generated into solid sales.
Internet Marketing: SEO the Seed of Growth
In 2003, I worked for a Public Relations firm, Wasabi Publicity, in Saluda, North Carolina. It was here that I first learned of an organic SEO method through a woman who calls herself the Publicity Hound. She said the best method of web site promotion was to write one article per month that educates readers on a product or service. The Publicity Hound also recommended a short list of article submission web sites where these articles could be posted. In January of 2003, I convinced Elaine VonCannon that I would help her write several articles and post them on sites across the internet. Elaine was in the first 6-8 months of working for REMAX Capital in Williamsburg, and was using traditional marketing methods (print media, brochures) to promote her services. We dropped several articles between January and March and then she decided to stop, because of budgeting concerns.
January 2004 – Niche Markets are Contacting Me Through my Site
Elaine phoned me at the beginning of January 2004 to let me know she was receiving leads from the articles we wrote and published in early 2003. In fact, her prospects mentioned the articles they had read. The articles we published in 2003 were directed towards real estate investors, who were interested in rehabbing and reselling property in the Williamsburg area. There were also a few articles that educated readers about real estate in general. Because she was receiving leads from the site, Elaine wanted to proceed and write some more articles, this time focusing her articles on retirement and relocation to the Williamsburg area. This was the lucrative audience she wanted to reach. I agreed readily. She asked my advice and I told her to take her money out of print media and to put it all into internet marketing. I promised her that this would pay off royally. She followed my recommendations, and began an aggressive publishing schedule of 3-4 internet marketing articles per month.
Keyword Writing for the Niche Markets
During our collaboration, the most important thing Elaine and I did was focus our story ideas on the niche markets she wanted to capture. Sidhe Communications team of keyword writers wrote articles geared towards the retirement audience, which touted Williamsburg as the retirement capital of the East. We researched golf courses and golf communities in the area, and began compiling informative articles about these subjects. Later we developed articles geared towards boaters, which listed marinas in the area and are designed to capture people interested in purchasing waterfront properties. All of these ideas worked. These articles actually brought the desired traffic to Elaine’s web site and her telephone began ringing. Soon she was doing the sales she actually envisioned herself doing – the high end real estate sales all REALTORs dream about. I was pleased as punch.
Keyword Headliners for Niche Markets
I always joke with Elaine that she is the best headline writer. She would phone me up at all hours of the day and night with ideas for titles. Some of them were takeoffs on old 70s tunes or common clichés reworked. I always impressed upon her that titles needed to be 7 words or less and punchy, and she rose to the occasion. To this day, I feel the headlines on her articles are a large part of what helps them to be selected for digital publication across the internet. .
Internet Marketing on a Regular Basis
Elaine VonCannon is committed to web site promotion on a monthly basis. She actually averages three articles per month to promote her site www.voncannonrealestate.com. In January of 2004, her web statistics showed 5,000 people entering her site. At this posting in March 2006, she now averages over 200,000 per month to her site, with 8-10 telephone calls per week. The site is generating leads for her, and mostly in the relocation and retirement markets.
Any internet marketer poised for success must make a regular commitment to article writing and submission on a regular basis. Web site promotion must also include periodic digital press releases, and uploading new content to the site on a regular basis. Finally, complement this with some Pay Per Click Services, and the web site promotion strategies intrinsic to success are all in place.
Without a web site promotion plan in place any business can be assured of one thing: your competition will be doing it! And they will be gaining the leads you could generate to your site, not you. So if your company is caught between the ‘promote the web site’ or ‘leave the web site alone for a while and see what happens’ remember — internet marketing works. Keyword writing combined with niche marketing is a strategy that gives your product or service the edge on the web.

Two Vital Tools For SEO – Well, For Me

The Internet has revolutionized business and you need a presence to make money in the digital age.
While everyone has their favorite tools, I prefer two in particular.

Two Vital Tools For SEO – Well, For Me

Most businesses build sites without really having a clue regarding how to go about it. The first step in developing a business site is not building it. Instead, you have to focus on the internet marketing aspect of the business and design accordingly. To this end, there are two tools that can be considered from my point of view.

The single best tool you need to become familiar with is Wordtracker. This tool is the proverbial golden egg of Internet marketing. Wordtracker lets you take a keyword and find out all the phrases people are using that incorporate the keyword. You can then take the list of keywords and find out how many searches are occurring on any of the big search engines – Yahoo, Google and MSN. On top of this, you can also determine how difficult it will be to get top rankings for the keyword phrases through search engine optimization.

Wordtracker is great because it allows you to determine if there is a market for your idea before you waste time and money on it. It can also be used to come up with ideas for sites. You simply type in a keyword like “travel” and see if there is a niche with a lot of traffic and a nominal amount of competition for rankings. If you find the niche, you tailor a business idea to it and make a boatload of money.

As if Wordtracker isn’t enough, there is a second tool I have come to love. Introducing the article directory. The key to being really profitable on the Internet is getting free traffic. You do this through search engine optimization or by getting publicity. With either area, this has traditionally been accomplished through link trading. Essentially, you agree to put another persons link on your site in exchange for them doing the same with yours. As you might imagine, it takes a long time to build up enough links to get high rankings and publicity. Article directories solve this problem, which makes them great internet marketing tools.

An article directory is exactly what it sounds like. You write an article and deposit it in the directory. Webmaster and editors from all over the world search the directories looking for content for their sites. When they republish your article, you get free publicity. Even better, you will create links in the author area of your article and they will publish those on their site as well. You are either reading this article in a directory or it came from one. Or someone ripped me off…lol.

Everyone has there favorite tools they use to have a go at marketing and seo. I prefer these, but others would argue for others. In response, all I can say is this work for me and I am far too lazy to go find something new.

Internet Marketing To Build Your Company

Internet Marketing To Build Your Company

Every business needs to advertise in one way or another. If you are a small business owner that wants to expand, then internet marketing to build your company may be just the thing you’ve been looking for. This idea probably sounds obvious to you if you have a tech-related business, but internet marketing can be beneficial to any business.

When you really think about it, every business is the same: they all seek to make money by selling something. What that something is covers a wide range of products and services, either physical or digital. The end customer could be an individual or an international conglomerate, or anything in between. Still, it’s all about having customers that spend money.

Internet marketing is useful for generating new customers and for retaining the customers you already have. It seems that most companies focus on getting new customers, and don’t do a very good job of it. They seem to think that people will flock to them just because they have put a site up on the internet, but those days (if they ever really existed) are long, long gone. But even if people would come to your site just because it’s there, you still have to get them to buy, and that takes an entirely different set of skills.

Just like a physical business, you need to get people in through the door. Online you need virtual traffic, which is another way of saying you need visitors to your site. Driving traffic to your site can be done in many different ways. Some of the more common methods include pay-per-click, article marketing, SEO, paid advertising. Each of methods has its advantages, and that means you should use as many of them as you can.

One of the best things about using internet marketing to build your company is that the people who do come to your site will be there because they want to be. They won’t just randomly appear at your site, but will get there either through a search engine (which is why SEO is so important), or through another advertising method you’re using. The people visiting your site will already be primed to see what you are offering.

After your visitors become customers, you can easily retain them over the internet. The primary method for doing this is getting them to share their e-mail address with you. You can get them to do that by offering special deals, exclusive information, free gifts or just about anything else. The cool part is that once they are on your list, you don’t have to rely on them to come back to your site. Instead, you can send them updates when you have something to share. So, they visit your site once, but you get to market to them forever. That’s a pretty good deal, isn’t it? We have only touched the surface of internet marketing to build your business, but I’m sure that you are starting to see the potential.

Corporate Internet Marketing Strategy

Corporate Internet Marketing Strategy

How much consideration have you given to your corporate internet marketing strategy? Things with names like “cash cow” and “offline gold” have been getting a lot of attention in some online marketing circles, but that may or may not relate to your business. However, it’s still a worthwhile exercise to look at the differences between the selling of digital products and physical product.

One of the more popular items sold online are e-books. A person writing and selling an e-book could be using a pen name and that removes some of the humanness of the transaction (even if the pen name is being used with the best of intentions). Furthermore, the e-book author doesn’t need a physical store, and will most likely never communicate with the vast majority of their customers. Of course, this anonymity is one of the things that attracts a lot of people to selling online.

Conversely, someone selling books at a bookstore will use their real name; will usually get to know their customers; and will have a physical location. All of these make each transaction more personal, but the need for a corporate internet marketing strategy is still there.

If you are someone who own a physical business and are looking to market online, then you may be in for a mild shock. Online advertising is quite different from traditional advertising; though many of the basic principles of selling are still the same.

For example, those of us who are part of the world of internet marketing use the mantra of “just put something online, don’t wait for it to be perfect.” That’s because we understand the importance of moving quickly. Our products, being digital, often have a shorter life cycle, so acting quickly is the rule. A traditional business selling physical products often has a difficult time adapting to this environment.

None of these things should ever be an excuse to avoid online marketing. There is too much at stake in today’s business world to leave this method of advertising on the table. One of the biggest advantages to advertising online is that many of your potential customers will be actively searching for what you are selling. It’s hard to think of an offline equivalent for this phenomenon.

Granted, anyone who is only familiar with traditional advertising will have to learn a lot of new things of they wish to implement a successful corporate internet marketing strategy. However, most business owners just don’t have the time to learn an additional way of advertising; that’s where hiring someone to do it for you comes in.

There are many internet marketing services that can do all of these things for you. So if you’re a CEO that doesn’t know SEO, but understand the importance of reaching out to people online, then hiring a service may be your best option. They will work with you and find out what your marketing goals are, and then incorporate that into an effective corporate internet marketing strategy, which they will also implement for you. The best part is that you will be the one who gets to real all of the rewards.

Jeremy Schoemaker, aka Shoemoney, is one of the most popular (and sometimes controversial) members of the search engine marketing community. While Shoemoney did “attend” college for three years, he never completed a degree because he spent the majority of his time expanding his company, Shoemoney Media Group. After the “dot com crash” took place, Shoemoney was forced to take a job with Wells Fargo and Commercial Federal Bank. Although he was temporarily a member of the “corporate” world, Shoemoney continued to manage his server and work on his web sites. He eventually quit those jobs and returned to the search engine marketing world.

Shoemoney joined Digital Point in September 2004. According to several of his posts, he had spent many months reading through all of the valuable information on Digital Point before deciding to actually join himself. As time went on, Shoemoney’s popularity on Digital Point continued to grow. In May 2005, Shoemoney posted a thread which was simply titled “my tips.” This thread contained many of his money making philosophies during that time period, and can truly be identified as one of the reasons why Shoemoney is the popular icon that he is today.

At some point in time, Shoemoney became known as the “King of Ring tones.” This was a reference to the massive amount of revenue he was generating as a result of his work in the ring tone affiliate industry. Although he has never disclosed specific details, Shoemoney has revealed in one of his many interviews that he makes “eight figures” a year.

2006 was a good year for Shoemoney. His blog, which has an Alexa ranking of 1,436, had over five hundred thousand visitors during 2006. Shoemoney also hosts his own radio show, which is appropriately titled “Net Income.” Each week, Shoemoney interviews a member of the internet marketing community and discusses different methods of making money from the internet.
